Eclipse Veil is your private digital sanctuary. A place where:

Think of it like passing notes that only the right person can read, and that vanish when you're done!

Step 1: Create Your Secret Identity

1. 1Open Eclipse Veil
2. 2Pick a cool username (like "ShadowNinja42" or "MoonWalker")
3. 3No phone number needed! That's what makes us special.
4. 4Create a super strong password - use words you'll remember!
5. 5Write down your Recovery Words (like a backup key)

Step 2: Make It Yours

1. 1Add a profile picture (or don't!)
2. 2Pick a color theme
3. 3Set your privacy level (we recommend "Maximum Privacy")

Step 3: Add Your First Friend

1. ARedeem Code (Easiest!) - Get a code from a friend and redeem it
2. BShare YOUR Code - Go to Contacts and create an invitation to send
3. CSearch - Type their exact username and send a friend request

1. 1Open the App - Tap the Eclipse Veil icon
2. 2Go to Contacts - Look at the bottom menu and tap the person icon
3. 3Find "Add Friend" - Tap the + button in the top right corner or "Add New Contact"
4. 4Choose "Redeem Code" - You'll see options including Redeem Code and Search Username. Tap "Redeem Code"!
5. 5Enter the Code - Type the code your friend gave you. Check twice that it's correct!
6. 6Tap "Redeem" - Wait 2-3 seconds. See your friend's profile appear. Tap "Add to Contacts"
7. 7Start Chatting! - Tap "Send Message" and type something. Hit the send arrow!

Making Your Own Code

1. 1Go to your Profile tab
2. 2Tap "Invitations"
3. 3Tap "Generate Code"
4. 4Choose how long it lasts (1 hour, 1 day, or 1 week)
5. 5Copy & send to your friend!

Messages that automatically delete after a set time. Perfect for sensitive conversations.

For One Chat:

1. 1Open the chat
2. 2Tap the timer icon at the top right
3. 3Choose: 5 sec, 1 min, 1 hour, 1 day, 1 week, or custom
4. 4Done! All new messages will vanish after the set time

For All Chats (Default):

1. 1Go to Settings (Profile tab)
2. 2Tap "Disappearing Messages"
3. 3Pick your default timer
4. 4Every new chat starts with this timer!

Your private, encrypted storage for photos, documents, voice recordings, notes, and passwords. Only you can access them.

What Can You Store?

How to Upload:

1. 1Tap the Vault tab at the bottom menu
2. 2Tap "+" or "Upload"
3. 3Choose what to add from your device
4. 4Optionally organize into folders

From a Chat:

1. 1Long-press any photo or file in a chat
2. 2Tap "Save to Vault"
3. 3Pick a folder or create a new one

Create a Group:

1. 1Go to the Chats tab
2. 2Switch to "Groups" using the toggle at the top
3. 3Tap "Create Group"
4. 4Select contacts to add and give your group a name
5. 5Start chatting!

When to Use It:

Someone grabs your phone, you're in danger, or you need to hide everything immediately.

To Change Your Level:

1. 1Tap Settings (gear icon)
2. 2Tap "Privacy & Security"
3. 3Tap "Privacy Level"

Every message you send gets locked with a special key that only your recipient has. Think of it like this:

1. 1You write a message in invisible ink
2. 2Only your friend has the special light to read it
3. 3Eclipse Veil cannot see anything - even if we wanted to!

Eclipse Veil supports 20+ languages. You can change the app language anytime and even translate messages in real-time.

To Change App Language:

1. 1Go to Settings
2. 2Tap "Language & Region"
3. 3Pick your language
4. 4The app switches instantly!

Code Not Working?

1. 1Check if you typed it exactly right (codes are case-sensitive!)
2. 2Ask your friend if the code expired
3. 3Make sure you're using capital letters if they did

Messages Won't Send?

1. 1Check your internet - open a web browser, does it work?
2. 2Switch networks - try WiFi instead of data (or vice versa)
3. 3Restart the app - close it completely, reopen
4. 4Pull down on the chat screen to refresh

Can't Find My Friend?

1. 1Ask them for their exact username (including any numbers)
2. 2Try searching with no spaces
3. 3Check if they made a typo
4. 4Use invitation codes instead - it's more reliable!

Storage Running Low?

1. 1Go to Settings > Storage Management
2. 2See what's using space (large videos, old chats)
3. 3Clear cache: Settings > Storage > Clear Cache
4. 4Your messages stay safe when clearing cache!

Forgot Your Password?

Don't panic! Use your Recovery Words:

1. 1On the login screen, tap "Forgot Password?"
2. 2Tap "Use Recovery Words"
3. 3Type your 12 words in order
4. 4Create a new password
5. 5You're back in!
